Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Starring(the “Service”), operated by Starring. By uploading a photo, generating a preview, or purchasing a video, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does

Starring turns a photo you provide into an AI-generated video placing the depicted person into a fictional sports scene. All scenes, kits, crests, venues, and sponsors are invented. The Service is for personal, entertainment, and gifting use.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make a purchase. Videos depicting a minor may only be created by that child’s parent or legal guardian, using the designated family-friendly templates, with the attestation required at upload.

3. Your content and the rights you grant

• You retain ownership of the photo you upload.
• You grant us a limited license to process that photo and our AI providers a transient license to generate your output. We do not use your photo to train models.
• You own the video you pay for, including for commercial use, subject to these Terms and our Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Your promises about the person depicted

You represent and warrant that the person in every photo you upload is you, or someone who has given you explicit permissionto create their likeness. You confirm this per job; we log the attestation. Creating someone’s likeness without permission is prohibited and may be illegal where you live.

5. Payments and credits

• Purchases are processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy.
• Credits are one-time purchases and never expire.
• A failed paid generation is refunded as a credit automatically. Other refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Your use is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend accounts, remove content, and kill jobs that violate it, including deceptive “real event” framing, harassment, or depicting public figures or non-consenting people.

7. Disclaimers

Output is AI-generated and may contain imperfections. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee any specific likeness quality.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
